FREE Swan

What a hard story I have just seen in the cinema.The famous ballet 'Swan lake' was the inspiration for the film.

The main role played brilliantly by Natalie Portman leads you to the magic world of dancers.
Next star of the New York Ballet Company must have the sensibility of a white swan and should also be daring, with no fears like a black swan.

They're looking for someone who can control the pressure of playing such a prestigious role.
Nina has plenty of talent but due to her lack of confidence she is not able to achieve her dreams.
She is not competitive enough and what people think about her is of great importance to her .
Nina is a good person but she is too afraid of what she could really do thanks to her wonderful talent.

Anyway, the choreographer gives her an opportunity and challenges her to flow like ballerinas ' know to do' and see what she can conquer.
He wants her to overcome her flaws and surprise herself and the rest of the world.
The film's director takes advantage of the duality of Nina.She has two different personalities so it's difficult for her to keep the balance.

Dancing is her life so she will follow her feelings until she gets perfection though her own life is the price.

HAPPY ending

There was plenty of sunshine when my father and I left home in the early hours of a freezing day in January many years ago.


Suddenly clouds appeared and the weather changed, it was snowing heavily, so we couldn't believe that in fact we were in the middle of the biggest snow storm of our lives.

Thank God we had taken some food with us, actually my grandmother had given us some sandwiches and biscuits, just in case something happened.

To our relief, we had blankets too.I think that the most worrying thing about our 'adventure' was that many cars were blocking the roads because the surface was extremely slippery so we didn't know for how long we'd have to be away, perhaps the whole night!
As we were half way through our journey, the storm stopped and some sun reached our faces.

Finally we got to Barcelona and I could attend my exam for the Royal Academy of Dancing.
I felt exhausted but my PASSION for dancing was stronger so I was able to cope with the examination and I felt really proud of myself.


Well, my destiny was to survive and pass my dancing exam and hopefully there will be others in the future.

INVICTUS, a wonderful film!

What a magnificent true story I have just seen in the cinema last Sunday.
The director Clint Eastwood was inspired by a real-life event that occur in 1995 in South Africa.

The plot is based on the Rugby World Cup.The president of the country Nelson Mandela uses it as a political strategy so that inhabitants feel confident again. Mandela trust the capitan of the team to lead them to victory although they are by far the favourites to win.

This is a touching tale because you can appreciate the power of a strong will, you can also see that the perfect politician may exist.

I understand that leaders have had some kind of suffering in their lives so they can see life from different angles.

So, with splendid actors as Morgan Freeman, I highly recommend that you go to watch 'Invictus', a story of courageous people.
